Mr. Clarence 'Bud' Diggs, Jr. age 73 of Wilmot, AR, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village, AR. He was a native of Parkdale, but lived most of his life in Wilmot. He was a retired carpenter, a member of Green Grove Baptist Church, and a Mason, a member of Dexter Lodge #115 in Wilmot.

Mr. Diggs was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Diggs Sr. and Erma Mae Johnson; three sisters, Lillie Mae Robinson, Gertrude Johnson, Ernestine Waters, one brother, Eddie Diggs. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved his family.

His survivors include six sons; Dale(Glenda) Diggs, Bennie Diggs, and William Whitaker all of Wilmot, Eddie Whitaker of Branson, MO, Charles(Mildred) Miller of Lake Village, AR, and David Diggs of Kansas City, KS, four daughters; Mary(Lemmie)Robinson,Willie Mae Whitaker, and Wanda Whitaker all of Wilmot, AR, and Jennie Diggs of Bastrop, LA, one brother, Percy Osborn of Wilmot, and one sister, Delilah Miller of Minneapolis, MN, thirty-eight grandchildren, and twenty-three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 27, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Wilmot with Rev. Donald Manning officiating. Active pallbearers are Curtis Hillard, Thernell Hymes, Lamar Robinson, Randy Brown, Donnie Brown, and Andrew Metcalf. Honorary pallbearers are Masons of Dexter Lodge #115. Interment will be in Gospel Temple Cemetery in Wilmot under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
