Mrs. Clara Bell Withers, 84 of Lacey, AR, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. Mrs. Withers was a lifelong resident of Drew County, a homemaker, and a member of Mt. Olive AME Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Joyce Withers, her parents, Lee & Salina Dowthard Daniels, one brother, Laborn Daniels and four sisters: Mamye Turner, Reola Daniels, Fannie Daniels & Martha Jean Stanley.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mr. Edgar Lee Withers, one son, Eddie Lee Withers of Lacey, AR, three daughters: Geraldine (Daniel) Bell of Monticello, AR, Mary Louise Withers of Lacey, AR and Helen (Gerald) Smith of San Antonio, TX, two brothers: Robert (Willie Mae) Daniels of Lacey, AR & Curley (Beulah) Daniels of Crossett, AR, two sisters: Glennis Daniels of Lacey, AR & Carolina Bankston of Crossett, AR and one granddaughter, Tiffany L. Howell.

Services are Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive AME Church with Rev. Karl Hammock, officiating. Pallbearers are Daniel Bell, Gerald Smith, Randy Turner, Johnny Lee Daniels, Leander Jenkins, Jr., Jerry Simpson, Tommy Daniels & Joe Lambert. Honorary pallbearers Ernest Green, Columbus Green, Leroy Daniels, LonDale Bankston, Elvin Lambert, Billy Daniels & Lawrence Daniels. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.
