Christopher Laine Owens, 68 of Wilmot, AR, transitioned Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.  He was a lifelong resident of Wilmot, and a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Darryl Lockhart, his mother, Ella Mae Whaley, and father Donnie Martin.  He was a musician who loved playing his guitar.  He enjoyed hunting and fellowshipping with the guys at the deer camp.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by one son, Christopher Owens, Jr. of Lake Village, AR, three daughters, Shanice Owens of Dermott, AR, Daunice Owens of Lake Village, AR, and April 'Don' Cherry of Maumelle, AR, two grandchildren and several others relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Owens will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Unity Temple in Portland, AR with Supt. Johnnie B. Winfield, Sr. officiating. Pallbearers are Roosevelt Jones III, Lonnie Palmer, Bill Kitchens, Charles Raino, Jodeci Carson, and Ronnie Johnson, Jr. Arrangements by Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
