Mrs. Christine Courtney, age 69, of Hamburg, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Drew Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of Hamburg, and a former resident of Parkdale and Dermott. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Fountain Hill, AR.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, James Rich, second husband, Reverend Jesse Courtney; one son, Walter Rich; parents, Allen and Marguerite Holmes Chapple; four sisters, Rosie Moore, Geraldine, Daisy, and Ethel Chapple; one brother, Leroy Chapple.  Mrs. Christine enjoyed spending time with her family and was truly an inspiration to all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, James Rich Jr. of Jonesboro, AR; two brothers, George Chapple and Jessie Chapple both of Hamburg, AR; three sisters, Fannie Collins (Woody), Mary Dine Reed (Wardell) both of Hamburg, AR; Annie Hughes of Pine Bluff, AR; two grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel, Brother Jamie Rochelle officiating. Active pallbearers are Daniel Smith, Tico Turner, Levon Franklin, Steven Robinson, Tyrone Gulley, and Tycon Gulley.

Burial will be in Green Grove Cemetery in Parkdale, AR under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.
