Mr. Charles Ramon Loftis, Jr., 82, of Crossett, AR died Monday, September 30, 2019 at John McClellan Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock.  He was a native of Crossett, a resident of Union Pier, MI for 37 years, a retired school teacher and insurance salesman, was of the Baptist Faith, and a Veteran of the United States Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Loftis, Sr. and Pearl Smith-Loftis; a sister, Ruth Blackman; one brother, John Loftis; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Boston-Loftis.  Charles was an avid sports fan.  He loved basketball, football, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Francis Phillips-Loftis; one son, Darryle "Chico" Loftis, of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Service will be Saturday, October 12, 2019, 10:00 am, at Gates Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 305 West 3 ^rd Avenue, Crossett, AR, with Rev. Harriel White officiating.  Pallbearers are Charles Judge, Rickey Johnson, Cornell Brown, Todd Brown, Jr., Elbert Ray Gibbs, and Todd Brown, Sr.  Burial in Westview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2019, 5:30-6:30 pm, at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
