Mr. Charles Nichols Lawson, 68, of Crossett, AR, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at his residence. He was a native of Fredricksburg, VA, a former resident of Lompoc, CA, Atlanta, GA and had resided in Crossett for the past 21 years. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie and his mother Essie V. Lawson, one sister, Patricia Ann Johnson and one brother, Cecil L. Lewis. Charles enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn. He enjoyed watching all sports. His favorite football team was the Washington Redskins.

He is survived by his devoted, loving wife of 25 years, Shellia Ann Lawson, two daughters, Shanika Tippie of Crossett, AR & Brianna Hamilton of Lompoc, CA, two brothers, Cuthbuert Lawson, wife Kathy of Loganville, GA & Billy Lassiter, wife Louise, one sister, Priscilla Washington of New Haven,CT, one granddaughter, Jayla Tippie and a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.

Funeral services are Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Scott, officiating. Active pallbearers are Michael Bailey, Kenny Crawford, James Arbet, Donald Lawson, James Colbert and Carlton Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Curtis Harris, Lee Simpson, Michael Scott, Chuck Brown, Jasper Giles, Michael Williams, Larry Rogers, Daryl Haynes and Freddie Hargraves. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
