Mr. Charles Barnett Jr., age 57, of Hamburg, AR, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR, he was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, AR, a retiree of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill and a member of Emmanuel Temple C.O.G.I.C.
He is preceded in death by one son, Charles Barnett III, his parents, Charles Barnett and Mae Ella Jenkins Barnett-McQuay, four brothers, Johnny Mack Robinson, Bobby Dale Robinson, Billy Ray Robinson, Kenneth Barnett, and one sister, Savannah Barnes. Mr. Barnett was an avid fisherman, loved basketball and football.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Gloria Moore-Barnett; one daughter: LaConda Robinson, husband Laron of Hamburg, AR; five brothers: James Lawrence Robinson of Bellingham, WA; Douglas Robinson, Calvin Barnett, wife LeAlma all of Crossett, AR; M.C. Barnett of Florida, Marshall Bonner of El Dorado, AR; four sisters: Diane Singleton, husband YT "Butch" of Little Rock, AR; Willie Mae Harden of Hamburg, AR; Lora Brooks, husband Charlie of Huntersville, AL; Lesa Barnett of Crossett, AR; one grandchild: Faith Robinson of Hamburg, AR and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Services are 11:00AM, Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hamburg, with Bishop Danny C. Mays, officiating. Pallbearers are Alfron Williams, Kalvin Stroud, Robert Thomas III, Keitrich Brewer, Marlon French and Perry Dupree. Honorary Pallbearers are Hamburg High School Class of 1977, Tyce James and Michael Dupree. Burial in Carlock Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 from 6:00PM-7:00PM at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
