Obituary

Mr. Charles Edward Dunn, 73 of Hamburg, AR, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Ashley County Medical Center. He was a native of Parkdale, AR, was a retired farm & construction worker, and was a member of Portland #2 Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew "Buddy" Dunn, his mother, Lee Bertha McFee Robinson, his step-mother, Georgia Earnestine Dunn, six brothers: Cleveland Moseby, William, Henry Lee, John T., Andrew Jr. & James Dunn and one sister, Charity Lee Liggins. Charles was a devoted, loving husband and father who enjoyed family gatherings, hunting and cooking.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Doristine Dunn, thirteen children: Timothy Dunn & Natanya "Tan" Wilson both of Hamburg, AR, Charles Edward Dunn, Jr., Lee Bertha Dunn, Faye Dunn, Kisha Elliot, husband Dennis, Juanita Dunn, Burnadine Dunn, Tori Jenkins, Carlos Jenkins, Jermain Jenkins & Geralene Jenkins all of Chicago, IL, Katherine Miles of Little Rock, AR, four brothers: Sammy Lee & Joseph Dunn both of Chicago, IL, Clarence Burns, wife Helen of Parkdale, AR, Larry Dunn, wife Vivian of Dallas, TX, six sisters: Geraldine Liggan of Chicago, IL, Celia Davis, husband Willie of St.Louis, MO, Beatrice Dunn & Johnnie Dunn of Parkdale, AR, Rose Watson, husband Charles & Evelyn Christian, husband James all of Bastrop, LA, thirty-five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Willie R. Taylor & Rev. Jim Hadley, officiating. Active pallbearers are Henry L. Dunn, Jr., Kenny Muhammad, Cleveland Moseby, Jr., Willie Williams, Roy Allen & John Ware. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Dunn, Sam Dunn, Larry Dunn, Charles Watson, Clarence Burns & Nathaniel Wilson. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
