Obituary

Mrs. Charlene Harrison, 79 of Crossett, AR, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop, LA. Mrs. Harrison was a native of Bradley County, AR, but a resident of Crossett, a former cook at Rose Inn Hotel, and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Harrison, her parents, Harrison & Rhoda Rogers Trotter, eight sisters: Lee Ellen Hampton, Irene Newton, Fannie B. Cooper, Ometha Lowe, Rosie Johnson, Augusta Hallaway, Daisy Trotter & Bea Trotter, five brothers: Levie, Graham, Earnest, James & Robert Trotter. She was a member of Silver Star Chapter 301, Order of Eastern Stars in Crossett.

Survivors include one son, Eddie Joe Harrison of Englewood, OH, two step-sons: Corey Harrison of Crossett, AR & Melvin Harrison, Jr. of Seattle, WA, four daughters, Minister Melba Jean, husband Leonard Barrier, Mary Jean, husband Wilbert Cuspert, Versia Marie, husband Donald Heath all of Seattle, WA & Rose Marie, husband Ulish Haynes of Crossett, AR, one sister, Clorene Belin of Belchamp, MD, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Maurice Belin & Pastor Jesse Radford, Jr., officiating. Pallbearers are Charles Bryant, Derrick Couser, Danny Lowe, Clinton Williams, Willie Smith & Charles Carter. Honorary pallbearers are Ulish Haynes, Jr., Jamone Scott, Kamone Scott, Brandon Heath & Buford Taylor. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
