Mrs. Catherine Hart, 76 of Strong died Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Mississippi University Medical Center in Jackson. She was a native of Portland but resided in Strong for the past 47 years. She was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. She was a usher for many years. Family was very important to her. She loved fishing and she made frequent visits to the Champagnolle Landing for Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband L. B. Hart; her parents Richard Blakley and Annie Mae Bryant; and one sister: Willie Mae Davenport.
She is survived by her son: Marion Williams and wife Christy and one stepson: Donell Smith both of Strong; three daughters: Mary Lovett and husband Robert, Annie Wallace and husband James both of Strong, Linda Russell and husband Steven of North Little Rock; two stepdaughters Mary Marshall of Memphis, Tennessee and Lanell Smith of Eldorado; one sister Rosie Grams of Bossier City, Louisiana; fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00A.M. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Stigars officiating. Pallbearers are Steven Russell, Ricky Payne, Winston Lovett, Freddie Robinson, Leon Bean, and Gregory Shobayo. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons.
Interment will be at Pilgram Rest Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
