Mrs. Carlene Tucker, 81 a resident of Los Angeles, CA, for the past 9 years but formerly of Hamburg, AR, died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Olympia Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. She was a native of Hamburg, AR, a retiree of Hamburg School District, and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Jesse B. Tucker, her parents, Carl and Caldonia Tucker-Lewis, three brothers, Carl "Raymond" Lewis, James "Sonny" Kemp, and Lavughn Harris, and one sister, June Bunton.

She is survived by four sons, Carl Cox, wife Pat of Crossett, AR, Gary Tucker, wife Easter of Maumelle, AR, Clifton Tucker of Hamburg, AR, and John Tucker of Dallas TX, two step sons, James Tucker of Pine Bluff, AR, and Ira Tucker of Little Rock, AR, one daughter, Brenda Nunley, husband Wilbert of Los Angeles, CA, one sister, Dorthy Newson of Los Angeles, CA, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Willie R. Taylor Officiating. Active pallbearers are Lawrence Booker, Michael Cox, Cal Tucker, Jessie Cooke, Jimmy Clark, and Alfreddie Tucker. Honorary pallbearers are Deacons and Trustees of Mt. Zion and his grandsons. Visitation will be Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Cromwell Funeral Home from 6:00-7:30 pm. Burial will be at Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
