Mrs. Callie Franklin, 85 of Fountain Hill, AR, died Friday, July 5, 2013 at Drew Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Fountain Hill, a homemaker, and a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church.

Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Withers, three sons: Don S., D.S. & Freddie Withers, her parents, Mose & Alma Martin Franklin, four brothers: Steve, Willie, M.F. & Jimmy Franklin, four sisters: Sallie Webb, Selessie Smith, Janice Williams and Virginia Robinson. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, cooking and gardening.

She is survived by five sons: Johnny Withers of Crossett, AR, Cleophus Withers, wife Laura, Cardell Withers, wife Lois all of Cape Girardeau, MO, Martin Withers, wife Vivian and Douglas Withers all of Branson, MO, two daughters, Bobbie Bankston of Crossett, AR, Pamela Jamison, husband Samuel of Monticello, AR, one sister, Clantieen Miller of Ft. Hill, AR, twenty-eight grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, family and loved ones.

Funeral services are Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 am at Bethel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Cindy Robinson, officiating. Pallbearers are Don Franklin, Michael Bankston, Paul Jamison, Leslie Tolefree, Reggie Wilson & Greg David. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Withers, Cleophus Withers, Cardell Withers, Andera Miller, Martin Withers, Douglas Withers, Robert Miller & Dennis Franklin. Burial in Mt. Pelium Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.

Visitation Sunday, July 7, from 6-8 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home.
