Mr. Bruce Earl Hampton, 50 of Portland, AR, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his residence in Portland. He was a lifelong resident of Portland, a farm laborer and was of the Methodist Faith.

Mr. Hampton was preceded in death by his father, Willie Hampton, four brothers: John, Randy, Wilbert & Gilbert Hampton. He loved watching television, basketball and wrestling were his favorites. He also loved to dance.

He is survived by his mother, Laura Hampton of Portland, AR, five brothers: Dennis Hampton, Michael Hampton, Danny Steve Hampton all of Portland, AR, James Hampton of Montrose, AR & Edward Charles Hampton of Milwaukee, WI, two sisters, Tempie Hampton of Little Rock, AR and Betty Hampton of Portland, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 11:00 am at Green Grove A.M.E. Church with Rev. James Andrews, officiating. Active pallbearers are Joe Nathan Webb, Sammie Polite, Derrick Polite, Phillip Williams, Henry Moore & Hardy Bynum. Honorary pallbearers are Leo & James Hampton. Burial in Holly Grove under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
