Obituary

Mrs. Boyce Lee Logan, 88 of Crossett, AR, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at her residence in Crossett. She was a native of Gilbert, LA, but was raised in the White Station Community in Crossett. She was a former 35 year resident of Oakland, CA, and was a member of Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Valentine Jefferson, her parents, Cleveland Williams and Cora Matt Stillwell Chatman, one brother, Thomas Chatman, and one sister, Kitty Chatman. Mrs. Logan was a devoted & loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, fishing, bowling, traveling and shopping.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Millard F. Logan, three daughters: Toyce Newton, husband Herman of Crossett, AR, Joyce Johnson of Los Angeles, CA & Valentine Culberson, husband Eric of Oakland, CA, four grandchildren: Tiffany Luckey, Marcus Newton, Roderick Newton, Jamaal Williams, seventeen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Harriel D. White, officiating. Pallbearers are Marcus Newton, Roderick Newton, Jamaal Williams, Josh Gibbs, Normane Martin, Terrian Keys, Edward Brown & Dwight Johnson. Burial in Ryles Chapel Cemetery.
