Booker T. Lucas, Jr., age 73, of Lake Village, AR, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Village, AR, an employee of Entergy and a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Village.

He is preceded in death by one son, Theferro Lucas, one daughter, Sabetra Lynn Lucas, his parents, Booker T. and Florence Martin-Lucas, two brothers, Johnny Lee Lucas, Sr. and Andrew Liggins, Jr. and one sister, Lula Mae Halley. Mr. Lucas enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, barbequing and loved serving as a Deacon of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Betty Jean Garner-Lucas, one son: Fredrick Lucas, wife Zilda of Little Rock, AR; two daughters: Sharetha Buckner of Lake Village, AR; Angela Kimble Garner of Pine Bluff, AR; two brothers: John Lucas of San Diego, CA; Levell Lucas, Sr. of Lake Village, AR; two sisters: Shirley Faye Vanlandingham of Dewitt, AR; Erma Jean Lucas of Lake Village, AR, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held 1:00PM Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Central Community Baptist Church with Rev. E. D. Handie, officiating. Pallbearers are Eugene Butler, Larry Palmer, Haywood Kelsey, Billy Joe Perry, Earl Johnson and Earl Harris. Honorary Pallbearers are Deacons of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial in Lake Port Cemetery in Lake Village.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 12:00PM until service at the Central Community Baptist Church, 402 Annex Street, Lake Village, AR 71653.
