Billy Doyle Jordan, age 86 of Hamburg, Ar. passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9th. He was born on Dec. 10th, 1934 in Hamburg, he was a retired member of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill. Upon retiring he enjoyed spending time "tinkering" around his shop. He could fix almost anything and was called upon often to do just that. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his true joys in the latter part of his life. One of his biggest accomplishments late in life was was to get saved and become an integral part of Martinville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his true love, Veta Mae Jordan; parents, Bud and Jackie Swinney Jordan; sister Vera Stanley; brothers, Fred, Bobby, Junior and daughter in law Regina Jordan.
He is survived by three sons: Sammy Earl and Stebo Jordan both of Crossett and Thomas "Dooley" Jordan(Lisa) Monroe, LA. One daughter, Nancy McDill(Elvin) Hamburg, Ar. Seven grandchildren; Sarah Halley(Cory) Anna, TX., Rusty Jordan(Whitney) Crossett, Lauren Myers(Jacob) Seoul, South Korea and Logan Jordan of Baton Rouge, LA., Stephanie Copes(Shane) Crossett, Curtis "Elmo" McDill(Sandy) Crossett and Tammy "Sissy" Oliver (Lynn) of Mississippi. He also had fifteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Our family would like to give a special thank you to Doyle's niece, Peggy Jordan. We would not have been able to keep him at home for as long as we did without her special care that she lovingly gave him.
Pallbearers: Rusty Jordan, Logan Jordan, Shane Copes, Cory Halley, Curtis "Elmo" McDill and Brandon Pearson. Honorary Pallbearers: Gifford Godfrey and Jimmy Bolton.
Funeral service will be Thursday, February 11, 2021 in the Chapel of Cromwell Funeral Home with Brother Elvin McDill preceding followed by the burial at Egypt Cemetery.
