Mr. Billy Joe "Bill" Bridges, 81 of Portland, AR & Boles, AR, died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at his residence in Boles. He was a native of Jacksonville, TX, resided in both Portland and Boles, was a retiree of the City of Greenville and was of the Southern Baptist faith.

Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Bond, one granddaughter, Misty Bridges, his parents: Connie Bridges and Ethel Mae Stanford Bridges Parks, and two brothers, Hubert & Larry Bridges. He enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Mrs. Flossie Bridges of Boles, AR, two sons: Gary Lynn Bridges, wife Betty of Crossett, AR, Billy Ray Bridges of Gulfport, MS, three daughters: Ann Bridges and Julie Kelley both of Crossett, AR, Janice Grayson, husband Joe of Star City, AR, four step-children: Larry Boren, wife Patti and Linda Weatherly, husband Richard all of Boles, AR, Karen Williams, husband Steve & Teresa Holleman, husband Brad all of Waldron, AR, one brother, Mack Bridges of Monticello, AR, four sisters: Juanita Parks, Betty Crow & Virginia Pennington all of Lake Village, AR & Bonnie Geahlan of El Dorado, AR, thirteen grandchildren, Billy Wayne, Donald, Terence, Dana, Dusty, Tami, Jason, Bryce, Julie, Ashley, Adam, Garret and Austin, eight step-grandchildren, and twenty seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Williams & Bro. E. W. Ricks officiating. Pallbearers are Donald Barnett, Garrett Bridges, Terence Bond, Austin Kelley, Bryce Bond & Larry Boren. Visitation from 6-8 pm at Cromwell. Burial in Mt.
