Mrs. Billie Jean Chatman Staffney, 60 of Monroe, LA, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her daughter's residence in Monroe. She was a native of Crossett, AR, a former employee of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Staffney was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Chatman & Emma Gray Foreman, two brothers, Robert Lee & Clemmie Chatman. She enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
She is survived by one son, Franco Johnson of Crossett, AR, two daughters, Demetria Wilson & Lakelsei Staffney both of Monroe, LA, two brothers, Robert Foreman, wife Rosa Linda of Bakersfield, CA, Clarence Foreman, wife Bertha of Sacramento, CA, four sisters: Gloria Nalls, husband Clarence of Baton Rouge, LA, Jean Chatman-Bean, husband Wardell of Strong, AR, Jewel Tolliver & Jerrie Williams both of Crossett, AR, six grandchildren, Daja & Sa'rya Williams, Quindarius & Diquan Wilson, Tayjon & Gavyn Johnson and a host other family, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services are Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 2:30 pm at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Elizabeth Lenoir & Pastor Jesse Radford, Jr. officiating. Active pallbearers are Carlo Wallace, Christopher Jordan, Derrick Williams, Raymond Frazier, Chris Nalls & Ralph Dunning. Honorary pallbearers are Franco Johnson, Clarence Foreman, Robert Foreman & Frank Johnson. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
