Mrs. Beverly Jean "Tiny" Hampton, 78 of Warren, AR, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Chapel Woods Health & Rehabilitation. She was a native of Crossett, AR, but had lived in Warren for the past 55 years, was a homemaker and was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church in Warren, AR.
Mrs. Hampton was preceded in death her husband, John T. Hampton, her parents, Charlie Simpson & Emma Taylor Jones, a step-son, John T. Hampton, Jr., a step-daughter, Janice Hampton, and one sister, Laverne Simpson. She loved her church and served as a stewardess. She also enjoyed doing volunteer work and fishing.
She is survived by one son, Jerry Hampton, wife Cassandra of Warren, AR, one step-son James Hampton of Warren, AR, three daughters: Esterlean Hampton, husband Freddie, Mary Partman, husband Gregory all of Warren, AR, Eunice Watson, husband Charles of Monticello, AR, one brother, Lawrence Lee of Oakland, CA, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services are Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 2 pm at St. James A.M.E. Church with Rev. Kenneth Broughton, officiating. Pallbearers are D'Mario Blueford, A'Marie Blueford, Daniel Jones, Don Hines, Herman Patton & Cameron Tolefree. Honorary pallbearers are Grandsons. Burial in Palestine Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
Visitation Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 6 to 7:30 pm at St. James A.M.E. in Warren, Arkansas.
