Mrs. Betty Sue Oden, 65 of Greenville, MS, died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was a native of Avon, MS, but lived in Crossett most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Tom, Sr., and Eula Mae Walls Rochell, two brothers, Jim Tom Rochell, Jr., and James Rochell. Mrs. Oden was Vice-President of the Bread of Life Worldwide Ministries and was a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God in Crossett, AR.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Oden of Crossett, AR, two sons, Anthony Dewayne "Tony" Oden of Oklahoma City, OK, George Houston Oden of Vicksburg, MS, four daughters, Patricia Renee Martin of Hattiesburg, MS, Glenda Susanne Tippitt of Hamburg, AR, Tina Elizabeth Holt of Branson, MO, Amanda LeAnn Holt of Waco, TX, two brothers, Wayne Rochell of Greenville, MS, Curtis Rochell of LaPorte, TX, three sisters, Doris Hester of Berryville, AR, Mary Jane Rushing of Jennings, LA, Jeanette Oden of Center, TX, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services are Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11:00 am at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Vicksburg, MS. Pallbearers are Glen Oden, George Oden, Cody Shiers, Jeff Russell, Bryan Johnson, and Jay Rabb. Graveside service at 4:00 pm in Eden Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Bolen officiating, under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
