Mrs. Betty Dean Gulley, 74 of Crossett, AR, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was a former resident of Montrose and Hamburg, but a current Crossett resident, a retired Certified Nurse's Assistant and a member of Soul Saving C.O.G.I.C. in Montrose, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Brewer, two daughters: Cassandra Gulley and Laverne Haynes, one son, Perry Joe Dupree, one grandson, Isaiah Brunson, her parents, Lemon Joe & Corine Carlton Gulley, one brother, James Gulley, and five sisters, Dorothy Rean Daniels, Louise Holloway, Bernice Clark, Ruby Gulley & Doris Robinson. Mrs. Gulley enjoyed cooking and fishing.
She is survived by two sons: Eld. Al Brewer,Jr., wife Linda of Montrose, AR & Ricky Moore of Crossett, AR, six daughters: Gloria Barnett, husband Charles & Linda Williams, husband Pastor Joe Willie all of Hamburg, AR, Paula Moore, husband Bobby, Lorise Jean Hughes and Dorothy Walton all of Crossett, AR and Shannon Gulley of Jacksonville, AR, one brother, Lemon Gulley of Little Rock, AR, one sister, Zelma Mitchell of Malvern, AR, twenty-two grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Eld. Al Brewer, Jr. officiating. Pallbearers are Leonard Campbell, Robert Thomas, Alfon Williams, Al Brewer, III, Lee Brown & Kevin Stroud. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons. Visitation Tuesday, August 28 from 6-8 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home. Burial in Montrose Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
