Mrs. Bennie Alamedia Warren-Owens, 79, of Monroe, LA died Friday, May 15, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center.  She was a native of Crossett, but a resident of Monroe, LA, a retired social worker, a member of New St. James Baptist Church and a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Nicole Owens, in 2016; her parents, Sherman and Georgia Warren; and her sister, Lorene Williams.  Bennie enjoyed shopping, going to church, reading magazines, and visiting and video chatting with her family.

She is survived by one son, Gregory Owens, wife Consonya, of Dallas, TX; and five grandchildren, Jeramie, Codesia, Jordyn, Chloe, and Gregory II Owens.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, May 20, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at Pugh Cemetery with Pastor Vance Price officiating. Active Pallbearers are Robert Duckworth, Courtney Elliott, Lee Simpson, Jeramie Owens, Michael Scott, Marvin Scott, and Curtis Boston, Jr.

Viewing will be Tuesday, May 19, 2020, 1-5:00 p.m., at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.

Cromwell Funeral Home will follow CDC precautions during this Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.  Visitation will be carefully screened to 10 people at a time and funeral will be limited to 50 people.  Social distancing is still highly recommended.  We are committed to safely caring for our families and staff.
