Barbara Jean
Lowery
October 27, 1960 – March 11, 2020
Barbara Jean Johnson-Lowery, 59, of Hamburg, AR, gained her wings Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR, surrounded by her family. She was born in Crossett, and lived in Hamburg most of her life. She was a retired forklift driver for Hood Packaging after serving for 19 ½ years, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Brandy Lynne Wright; her father, Fulton Dewain Johnson; and two brothers, Michael Patrick and Tommy Eugene Johnson. Barbara was the most selfless person, always putting others before herself, no matter what was going on in her life or how much pain she felt at that time. She fought a battle for 6 years, that doctors said she could never overcome, but that never stopped her from giving it everything she had. She was an amazing woman and a blessing in the lives of those who knew her. She was so brave and had so much courage to face the hand she was dealt and handled it like a champ. Barbara lived everyday for her family and loved spending time with them, cooking, and playing games on her phone.
She is survived by her husband of 11 ½ years, Arthur Lowery; two sons, Jason Johnson, and wife Joy, of Monticello, AR, and Devon Lowery, wife Sarah, of Tyler, TX; three daughters, Charly McKelvey, husband Jonathan, of Hamburg, AR, Pamala Dockery, husband Ed, of Friendsville, TN, and Tamala Soelburg, husband Brent, of Idaho Falls, ID; her mother, Dorthy Johnson, of Hamburg, AR; three brothers, Danny Johnson, Eddie Johnson, wife Judy, and Rodney Johnson, all of Hamburg, AR; one sister, Julie Coulter, husband Ronny, of Hamburg, AR; twenty-one grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.
Funeral service will be Sunday, March 15, 2020, 2:00 p.m., at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel, 600 E. St. Louis Hamburg, AR, with Brother Arlan Richards officiating. Active Pallbearers are William Lowery, Kenny Ray Carpenter, Brent Soelburg, Shawn Bates, Josh Smith, and Neal Elton. Honorary Pallbearers are Ronnie Wright, Clayton Price, and Kayton Price. Burial in Hamburg Cemetery.
