Mrs. Arlene Webb White, 85 of Brooklyn, NY, died November 27, 2011. She was a native of Bradley County, AR and a resident of Brooklyn, NY for the past 60 plus years. She was a foundational member of Bethel Evangelical Church in Brooklyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John White, her parents, George and Pearl Trotter Webb, and her brothers and sisters: Sheldon, Henry, Tinsman, J.B. (JaBo), Ophelia, Caldonia, Vassie Lee, James Hayward and Carnett.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, John W. White, III of Howard Beach, NY, one daughter, Mercedes D. Gregory of Dale City, VA, grandsons: John White IV, wife Hope, Shelton G. Gregory, wife Polina, Sgt. Shonti J. Gregory, USMC, and great grandchildren: Brandon and Grace White, Micah Gregory, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Funeral services are Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:00 am at Palestine A.M.E. Church in Johnsville, AR, with Rev. L.V. Tolefree, officiating. Pallbearers are Shelton Webb, Jr., Willie Griffin, Jr., Willie Griffin, III, Jeff Webb, Kenneth Griffin & Leslie Tolefree. Honorary pallbearers are Roy C. Webb and David Webb.
