Obituary

Mrs. Annie Pearl Watkins, 79, of Portland, AR died Friday, April 17, 2020, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS.  She was a native of Portland, and a past resident of Dayton, OH for 52 years, a retiree of General Motors Auto Manufacturing Company and a member of Brown Temple Baptist Church in Portland.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alexander, Jr. and Essie Barney-Lee; one brother, Alexander Lee III; and two sisters, Rosie Caldwell and Alice Lee.

She is survived by three brothers, Lenward Lee, wife Sharon,  Charles Lee, wife Sonia, both of Columbus, GA and John Lee, wife Irma, of Columbus, OH; four sisters, Merdie Hadley of Montrose, AR, Betty Scott, of Milwaukee, WI, Dorothy Lee of Chicago, IL, and Janice Gayfield, of Columbus, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Private graveside service will be Saturday, April 25, 2020, at Portland #2 Cemetery with Rev. Walter Witherspoon officiating.  Honorary Pallbearers are Anthony Watson, Rontray Miller, James Williams, Stephan Henry, Danang Rockett, and Charles Bynum.

Cromwell Funeral Home will follow CDC precautions during this Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.  Visitations and funerals will be limited to 10 people.  We ask that you practice social distancing.  We are committed to safely caring for our families and staff.
