Mrs. Annie Mae Johnson, 90, of Crossett, AR, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at her residence in Crossett. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Carthage, AR, a Crossett resident, a homemaker, and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board for 67 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Johnson, one son, Glenn R. Johnson, her parents: Crawford & Bertha Plaze Shelby and two brothers: Crawford Shelby, Jr. & William Shelby.

She is survived by one son, Harold Johnson of Denver, CO, four daughters: Rosita (Rev. Arthur) Lanos & Elois (C.W.) Harris all of Crossett, AR & Katherine McKinney & Odessa Johnson both of Chicago, IL, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren & two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse L. Radford, Jr., officiating. Visitation from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at New Bethel Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Tony Williams, Milton Gaston, Robert Williams, Terriant Keys, Robert Thompson & Bill Newton. Honorary pallbearers are the New Bethel Usher Board members. Burial in Westview Cemetery.
