Mrs. Annie Lee Hampton, 89 of Warren, AR, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, AR. Mrs. Hampton was a native of Johnsville, AR, but a resident of Warren for the past 20 years, a homemaker, and a member of West Central Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Hampton, three sons, Johnny, Henry & Rev. Bobby Hamtpon, one daughter, Johnnie Green, her parents, Earnest & Mary Newton and one sister, Hattie Sue James.

She is survived by five sons: Otis Hampton of Chicago, IL, Jerrel Hampton & John B. Hampton both of St. Louis, MO, Rev. Eddie, wife Frances Hampton and Freddie, wife Ester Hampton all of Warren, AR, five daughters: Sadie Harding, Ruthie, husband Donald Childs, Judy Hampton & Mary Hampton all of Warren, AR & Vera Barrow of Chicago, IL, one sister-in-law, Willie Rogers of Warren, AR, thirty-nine grandchildren and seventy eight great-grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 1:00 PM at West Central Church of Christ in Warren, with Bro. Robert Waller, officiating. Pallbearers were Leonard Purifoy, Clyde Hemphill, Earnest Green, Earnest Newton, Kenneth Robinson & James Ellis. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery udner the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
