Ms. Annie Lee Goree, 97, of Wilmot, AR. died, Saturday, May 29, 2010, at LaGrand Heatlh & Rehabilitation Center in Bastrop, LA. Ms. Goree was a native of Dermott, AR but a resident of Wilmot for approximately 85 years, a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church. She worked in many Ministries in her church as long as her health permitted. She was President of the Mission, served on Usher Ministry, Sunday School BTE Teacher and sang in the Choir. She loved gardening, whether in flowers or vegetable garden. She also loved quilting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Goree, parents, Jim and Minnie Lee Davis Kitchen, three brothers, James, Earl and Jim, Jr. Kitchen, two sisters, Inze Freeman and Maggie Thomas.
She is survived by one daughter Bernice Mackie husband Carl of Wilmot, AR, two brothers, Otis Kitchen of Little Rock, AR and Luther Kitchen wife Leaster of Santa Rosa, CA, two sisters, Minniee Lou Shelton of Milwaukee, WI and Dorothy Fillmore husband Clemmie of Gary, IN, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Wilmot, AR with the Rev. James Crockett officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 3, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Billy Kitchen, Robert Kitchen, Cleveland Parker, Tommy Shelton, Al Dunn and James Bowman.
