Obituary

Mr. Andrew James "A.J." Hollins, 81, of Crossett, AR, died Sunday, July 20, at Golden Living Center in Crossett. Mr. Hollins was a life-long resident of Crossett, AR, served in the U.S. Army, a retired timber worker for Brooks Logging Co., and a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Wright Hollins, one son, Johnny Hollins, one daughter, Virginia Brown, his parents, Anderson & Harriet Hunt Hollins, five brothers, John, Benjamin, Jessie James Hollins, William Davis, Eddie Whitfield, two sisters, Idella Taylor & Nanny Hollins.

He is survided by four sons, Andrew "Sonny" Hollins, Jr., wife Pamela, Gary Hollins, wife Cynthia, James Hollins, wife Karon, and Ray Hollins all of Crossett, AR, five daughters, Gloria Jasper, husband Nathaniel, Jo Ann Smith, husband Ronald, Jacqueline Cole, husband Larry, all of Crossett, AR, Cindy Gibbs of Sacramento, CA, Linda Brown, husband Michael, of Los Angeles, CA, one sister, Willetter Clark of Los Angeles, CA, thirty-eight grandchildren, fifty-nine great grandchildren, and 7 g-great grandchildren.

Services are Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 11 AM at Pleasant Green Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Witherspoon officiating. Visitation Friday, July 25, from 6-7 PM at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Derrick Williams, Manueal Boston, Larry Fedderson, Andre Hollins, Leonard Webb, and Troy Webb. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.
