Mr. Amos Miller, 65 of Crossett, AR, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Miller was a native of Longview, AR, but a resident of Crossett for the past 47 years, a retiree of Georgia Pacific Paper Mill, and a member of Gates Chapel AME Church. He was preceded in death by his parents: Virgel Lee & Verta Martin Miller, one brother, Napolean Miller & three sisters: Annette Redman, Rozell Duckworth & Helen Fisher.
Surivivors include his wife of 28 years, Jaquelyn Miller, three sons: Derrell (Mary) Newton & Dwight (Shante) Johnson all of Crossett, AR & Damien (Jill) Johnson of Atlanta, GA, one daughter, LaTonya Miller of Crossett, AR, three brothers: Lee Morris Miller & Raymos Miller both of Toledo, OH & Clinton Miller of Gardenia, CA, five sisters: Marie Daniels of Fountain HIll, AR, Geneva Tribbett of Toledo, OH, Claudell Goree of Crossett, AR, Sarah Collins of Detroit, MI & Annie Curtis of Chicago, IL and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services are Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Gates Chapel AME Church with Rev. Tyrone Brommfield & Rev. Gregory Nettles, officiating. Visitation Friday, May 8, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Lee Fred Brown, Alvin Henderson, Quitman Trotter,William Willis, Danny Lowe, Willie Ashford, Theodis Savage & Raymond Blair. Burial in Westview Cemetery.
