Alvin Jean Lambert, 72 of Hamburg, AR, died Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Pinewood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crossett. She was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Floydie Mae Arrington Lambert, two brothers, Sammy Lee King and Dave Haynes, three sisters, Lena Mae Haynes, Eula Mae Haynes, and Pearl King.
"Jean", as everyone called her, served on the Pastor's Aide Committee, served in the Mother's Ministry and worked in the Missions Ministry. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed cooking and watching game shows. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by three sons: Anthony Webster & Billy Charles Lambert both of Blytheville, AR, Fredrick Lambert of Hamburg, five daughters: Roxie Ann Downs, husband Timmy, Jennifer Martin, husband Curtis, Loretta Smith, husband Daniel and Janice Lambert all of Hamburg, AR, Amy Brock, husband Benjamin of Fountain Hill, AR, four brothers: Elmer "P-Man" King & Alfonso King both of Hamburg, AR, Archie Lee Haynes of El Dorado, AR & Paul Simpson of Maumelle, AR, two sisters: Christy Lee Davis and Rose Nell King both of Hamburg, AR and twenty-two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, loved ones and friends.
Services are Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Willie R. Taylor officiating. Pallbearers are Larry Martin, Robert Scates, Robert Stanley, John Ware, Ken Dunn and Jimmy Dismuke. Honorary Pallbearers are Henry Dunn, George Howard, Jr. and Donald Manning Jr. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. www.cromwellfuneralhome.net
