Alvin Lee Henderson, 61 of Crossett, AR transitioned Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Ashley County Medical Center. He was a native of El Paso, TX, and Ashdown, AR, but was a resident of Crossett for the past thirty-five years. He was a member of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church, Exodus Lodge #403, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Mr. Henderson was a United States Army veteran of twenty-two years who served in Desert Storm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Cleaolder Pearl Walton Henderson, Sr., brothers, David Henderson, Jr., Henry Turner, and Roosevelt Dean. Alvin was a very sociable person who enjoyed fishing, dancing, riding motorcycles, traveling, and taking photos. He was an all-around handyman and technology whiz.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Wanda Boswell Henderson of Crossett, one son, Dewayne Boswell of Dallas, TX, two daughters, Danielle Henderson of Little Rock, AR, and Shaneque Henderson of Texarkana, TX, four brothers, Joey Henderson and wife Anthea of Tampa, FL, Joe Henderson and wife Rita of Hope, AR, Daniel Henderson and wife Sharlotte of Texarkana, TX, and Gerry Dean of Columbus, GA, five sisters, Ann Franciso and Lorene Henderson both of Ashdown, AR, Naomi Starks of Texarkana, TX, Patricia Dean-Tanksley of Douglasville, GA, and Venita Mitchell of San Antonio, TX, six grandchildren, Sergio, Chloe, Za'brion, Zi'Lynd, Ka'Mya, and Zachariah, a special aunt and uncle, Mr. James and Mrs. Mattie Walton, goddaughter Alayshia Duff, other family members, and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Cromwell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 10, 2026,11:00 AM at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Joseph L. Mosley officiating. Active pallbearers are Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Honorary pallbearers are Joey Henderson, Joe Henderson, Daniel Henderson, Sr., Naja Gooley, Dondre Harris, Daniel Henderson, Jr., Michael Starks, and Hakim Henderson. Burial in Childs Cemetery in Banks, AR under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
