Alma G. Brewer, age 86 of Crossett, AR., died Thursday October 5, 2023, at her home. She was a native of Center, TX., but a resident of Crossett for the past thirty-six years. Ms. Brewer was a retired supervisor of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She loved her church and was a very hard worker. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren. Although she had only two biological children she loved and nurtured thirteen. Alma was outgoing and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henderson and Lavencie Brinson-Jackson, brothers Joe, Dennis, and Clemon Jackson, sisters Rosie Brinson and Mary Garrett.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons William Bass of Silsbee, TX., and Binson Bass of Atlanta, GA., one sister Edna Johnson of Mansfield, LA., seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, a host of other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Saturday October 14, 2023, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church 625 N 2nd St in Silsbee, TX., with Rev. John Green Jr. officiating. Burial in Kirby Cemetery in Silsbee, TX under the direction of Proctor's Mortuary of Beaumont, TX.

Visitation Wednesday October 11, 2023, at New Bethel Baptist Church in Crossett from 3:00-4:30 PM.
