Mrs. Alice Marie Swinney Hill, 83 of Hamburg, AR died Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Ashley County Medical Center.  She was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, a technician for the Arkansas State Department of Health, and a member of Soldiers Chapel A.M.E. Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Henry "J" Hill (2008), two sons, Jack Henry Hill II and Bobby Hill, her parents, Henry and Sallie Franklin Swinney, two brothers, George Henry and Donty F. Swinney, and two sisters, Iva Lucille Morgan and Madeline Robinson.

Mrs. Hill was very active in her church serving as a steward, trustee, in the Lay organization, Women's Missionary Society, and Christian Education Director.  She also held various offices in the Crossett District and Conference levels of the A.M.E. Church.  She had a passion for helping others and serving the community. She enjoyed watching old westerns and her favorite show was Wheel of Fortune.

She is survived by three daughters, Jacqueline husband Murriel Rachal and Deborah Scott both of Hamburg, AR, and Barbara Hill of Maumelle, AR, one sister, Charlene Wallace of Hamburg, AR, eight grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and two god-daughters, Kymara Hill Seals and Kenetta Hill Ridgell both of Pine Bluff, AR.

Funeral services are Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Daniels officiating.  Pallbearers are her grandsons and great grandsons.  Visitation will be 5:30-6:30 at the funeral home.  Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
