Alex 'Uncle Bud' Harris, Jr., age 75 of Hamburg, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at his residence in Hamburg.  He is a native of Dumas but a resident of Hamburg for the past 59 years.  He was of the Baptist faith and a timber worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Beatrice Harris; five brothers, Augustus, L.C., Bobby, Ed and William Harris; four sisters, Sharron Pooled, Willie Mae Miller, Fannie Simpson and Alzora Miller. Uncle Bud never had children of his own, but he loved all children and enjoyed playing with them.  He was very close to his family.  He enjoyed riding horses.

Mr. Harris is survived by two brothers, Mitchell and Vennice Harris, both of Dumas, AR; one sister, Joyce Campbell of Dumas, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service is 1:00PM on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hamburg with Rev. Willie R. Taylor officiating.  Burial will be in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.  Pallbearers are McCoy Franklin, Clyde Leonard, George Dickerson, Michael Thompson, Frankie Wright, and Jessie Pam.  Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00PM on Thursday.
