Alberta Polite, 61 of Montrose, AR transitioned Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Montrose and a member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Abraham Clark, and two brothers, Larry Lee and James Lee Clark. Alberta enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, and spades. Her passion was cooking and she loved to feed her family.

She is survived by her mother, Abbie Dean Clark of Dermott, AR, one son, Dexter Porter of Seattle, WA, two daughters, Danielle Johnson (Michael Whitley, Jr.) of McGhee, AR, and Contessa Collins (Taiwan) of N. Little Rock, AR, three brothers, Joshua Clark of Dermott, AR, Abraham Clark of Hamburg, AR, and Ray Curtis (Cassie) of McGhee, AR, two sisters, Susie Stanley of Bastrop, LA, and Ella Simpson (Donald) of Houston, TX, five grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 5:00-6:00 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Montrose with Reverend Byron Lewis officiating. Pallbearers are Larry Woods, Donovan Peoples, Micheal Porter, Nathan Simmons, Derrick Clarke, and Charles Mooney, Jr. Burial will follow in Montrose Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
