Albert Jefferson
Goodwin Jr.
September 10, 1948 – August 30, 2021
Albert Jefferson Goodwin Jr., age 72, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at his residence in Crossett, AR. He was a native of Dermott but raised in Crossett. He was a retired Airforce Master Sergeant and retired Supply Clerk at Georgia Pacific Chemical Mill. He was a member of The New Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Usher. He was former president of the Southeast Arkansas Baptist Usher's Association. He also served as Vice President of the State Baptist Usher's Association. He served his country for 23 years, 2 months, and 23 days. He had the Airforce Validation Valor, and Achievement Metal, Air Force Good Conduct Metal, with one silver Oak Leaf Cluster, and one bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. He had the National Defense Service Metal and the Vietnam Service Metal with three bronze stars.
He was preceded by his wife of thirty and a half years, Cincinthia "CC" Goodwin; his parents Albert "AJ" Jefferson Goodwin and Lucille Randolph Goodwin.
Albert was a devoted father and he loved his family. He enjoyed reading, music, traveling, fishing, golfing, and loved all sports.
He is survived by three sons Michael Palmer Goodwin, Tavae "TJ" Goodwin both of Crossett, AR, Chauncey (Deirdre) Goodwin of Alexandria, LA; two daughters Michelle Kennedy of Washington DC, Latisha Jones (Jay) of Killeen, TX; one brother Tony Ray Williams of Crossett, AR; one sister Vasteen Carter (Murlee) of Crossett, AR; nine grandchildren Latoya Webb, Chad Austin, Mario Palmer, Jasmine McCuay, Joe Micheal Palmer, Giaoa Palmer, Dayton Palmer, and Mahogany Goodwin, and Zaire Goodwin; and eleven great grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to Mr. Goodwin's caregivers Valencia Rogers, Cynthia Hollins, Linda Binns, Linda Gilbert, Anita Rollow, and Ramonda Vann.
Graveside Services 11 A.M. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Westview Cemetery in Crossett, AR with Pastor Jesse L. Radford Jr. officiating.
Visitation 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 3, 2021 at Cromwell Funeral Home in Hamburg, AR.
Honorary Pallbearers Charles Moore, Johnny Gaston, Arthur Lanos, David Childress, Ricky Brown, James Mitchell, and The TW Daniel Class of 1966.
