Mr. Abram "Ham" Tucker, 81 of Crossett,AR, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Ashley County Medical Center. Mr. Tucker was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, AR (Pine Hill Community), a retiree of Georgia Pacific Paper Mill, and a member of Gates Chapel AME Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Tucker, his parents: Early & Elizabeth Simpson Tucker, five brothers and four sisters. He was a Mason, member of Exodus Lodge #403.

He is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Washington of Kansas City, MO & Beverly Cannon of Rockford, IL, one brother, Earnest Tucker of Country Club, IL, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services are Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Gates Chapel AME Church with Rev. Tyrone Broomfield & Pastor Gregory Nettles, officiating. Pallbearers are Curtis Boston, Jr., Michael Boston, Wayne Boston, Terrell Boston, Herman Newton and Tracey Vann. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
