Annie Mae Girtman-Cook, 65 of Colorado Spring, CO, died Friday, October 14, 2011 in Colorado Spring, CO. She was a native of Hamburg, and a past resident of Crossett for the past 15 years. Ms. Cook was the owner of Annie’s Sewing Corner in Colorado Springs and a member of the St. John Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, CO. Annie loved reading, traveling, and sewing. The joy of her life was her children and grand-children.
Proceeded in death by her first husband, John Kelly Jr., and her father Cornelius Girtman, Sr.
Survived by one son, Perry Kelly of Colorado Spring, CO, three daughters, Cynthia Fraction, husband Corey of Colorado Springs, CO, Stephanie Banks, husband Victor of Viera, FL, Jennifer Smith of Greenbrier, NC, her mother Bessie Elizabeth Girtman of Crossett, AR, three brothers, Cornelius Girtman, Jr. of Crossett, AR, Dennis Girtman, wife Carolyn of El Dorado, AR, Donald Girtman of Hamburg, AR, four sisters, Francis Robinson of San Francisco, CA, Julia Merritt of Pine Bluff, AR, Brenda Martin, husband Ronald of Augusta, GA, Deborah Sodie, of The Colony, TX, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the old Crossett camp community south of Hamburg with Rev. Gregory Taylor officiating. Viewing will be Friday, October 21, 2011 from 12 Noon to 5:00 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Nathan Girtman, Michael Girtman, Clarence Haynes, Joe Haynes, Terry Gilbert, and Cal Tucker. Honorary Pallbearer is T.W. Daniel High School Class of 1963. Burial in Nimmons Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
